Summer Camping 2001


Summer Fun!  All sorts of camp fun for everyone. 

Day Camp

  • This year we have Cub Scout Day Camp the week of June 25th through the 29th.  You must register (form and health statement required) by the April Pack meeting, cost is $45.00.  Parent's can volunteer to be Den Walkers, you must purchase a T-shirt ($6.00) which is refundable if you volunteer for all five days.  In addition there is a WEBELOS overnighter which requires an adult attend for each camper and cost is an additional $5.00.

Cub Scout Resident Weekend Camp

  •  In addition to this we also have some great opportunities for Cubs and parents for Cub Scout Resident Camp AUG 3-5, 2001 at Camp Chickahominy.  Contact Drew "Only an hour a week?" Smith to sign up for the fun.  See the things to bring in the Packing List below.

     All Adults who plan on accompanying their child must attend the Youth Protection training available at:

    • Benn's Church 6:00 PM July 19, 2001 with Orientation at 7:00-10:00 PM
    • Camp Chickahominy 1:00 PM July 21, 2001 with Orientation from 2:00-5:00 PM
    • Newport News Service Center  6:00 PM July 24 with Orientation at 7:00-10:00 PM

    Camp Fees are $45.00 for each Cub-Parent Team if registered before May 15 and $55.00 afterward.  This covers a patch for cub and adult, food, tent, cot with mattress, and all activities.  The activities include:

    • BB shooting
    • Archery
    • Swimming
    • Physical fitness course
    • Crafts and more!

    We will check in as a pack, meeting in the parking lot at Camp Chickahominy August 3, 2001 at ?:00 PM.  You MUST HAVE A COMPLETED MEDICAL SUMMARY and bring it with you at check-in.

Webelos Week Resident Camp

  • The Webelos hit the big time with a week at Camp Chickahominy the week of August 7th.  Contact Walter 'I Love This Stuff' Schminke for all of the great things going on.  See the things to bring in the Packing List below. 

    All Adults who plan on accompanying their child must attend the Youth Protection training available at:

  • Camp Fees are $125.00 for each WEBELOS and $85.00 for Adults or Den Chiefs, if registered before May 15 and $135.00 and $95.00 respectively afterward.  This covers a T-shirt, patch, food, tent, cot with mattress, and all activities.  The activities include:
    • Archery
    • Swimming
    • Physical fitness course
    • Crossing the "Mississippi" on a raft!
    • Climbing and much more

We will check in as a pack, meeting in the parking lot at Camp Chickahominy August 7, 2001 at ?:00 PM.  A COMPLETED MEDICAL FORM IS REQUIRED.  There will be a family day on August 11 (Saturday) where WEBELOS will be participating in the Huck Finn Tournament.  Come watch your boys participate in the events! Families should plan on arriving around 9:30 AM and lunch will be available with a lunch ticket costing $3.50/person.  The awards ceremony will be at 1:30 PM.

Fishing equipment for tournament

Medicine If you require medication please bring it with you, with enough to cover your entire stay at camp.  Notify the Den Leader and report it to the Health Lodge at Check-in!  All information concerning dosage is necessary at the time of check-in as well as the doctor's name and phone number.
