Pack Service Projects

Adopt a Highway

We have adopted the stretch of New Town Haven Road which runs in front of Carrollton Elementary School.  During our spring trash pickup we had a great time and it went really fast with so many coming out to help.  We flew some kites and ate a great lunch.  Thanks to all that came and helped out our community.  Our fall trash pick up is coming up soon, so check here for information and pictures.  You can check out last years photos in our 2002-2003 Archive.

World Water Monitoring Day

Several Cub Scouts from Pack 36 participated in the World Water Monitoring Day.  They met with Mr. Mike Spaetzel who is an Environmental Engineer with Smithfield Foods at Jones Creek Landing to measure turbidity, temperature and PH of the water of Jones Creek.  Results from around the world are compiled and kept.  The day provides an opportunity to increase awareness of the importance of waterways around the world.
