  A Special Thanks

A big thank you to my wife the Scouting Widow, who has tolerated endless hours of my absence (even when I haven't left the house) due to my love of Scouting and our boys.

What in the world possessed you to do this?

Quite simply Wood Badge.  This started out as a Ticket item but I have come to realize that many people do not know how rich in history and intrigue this great movement is.  Wood Badge was such a blast.  I made some great new friends in the Far Out Fox Patrol of SR502.  You could not ask for a better team.  (Back to Top)

Who are you?

Just another scout.   I started out in Cub Socuts in 1968 with a few of my friends, earned my Arrow of Light with Mr. McWithey as my Webelos den leader in Pack 345.  Then off to the Boy Scouts with Troop 11 where I earned my Eagle in August of 1975 and several palms thereafter, served cheerfully in the Order of the Arrow Kecoughtan Lodge 463, had fun starting Sea Scout Ship 11 and serving Troop 11 as an Assistant Scoutmaster.  I enjoyed working on the staff at Camp Chickahominy for several years.  Work and the associated travel took me away from scouting for several years.  Now with five sons I am back at it again, I sure hope they're having as much fun as I am!  (Back to Top)
