  The Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my Country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

  Welcome

The purpose in developing this site was to share some of the rich history and traditions of Scouting with those who are new to Scouting and those who are interested in knowing a little bit more of the story behind the Scouting movement.  The history of Scouting is an exciting story, full of colorful characters.  There are numerous sources and volumes of stories dedicated to this wonderful program for young people.  This site is designed to whet your appetite, and provide the general knowledge of Scouting's  origin that all Scouts should posses.  The history of Scouting is important, it is from this history that we can learn what the forefathers of Scouting had in mind when shaping this organization.  What started as an experiment with a handful of boys on a small island has grown into a movement of millions of boys across the globe.  A game with a purpose
