Cub Scouting stopped being an experimental program in 1933.

The Tiger Cub program began in 1982.

In 1967 Den Mothers became Den Leaders.

The Church of Jesus Christ of  Latter-Day Saints was the first religious body  to adopt the Scouting Program.

James E. West, the first Chief Scout Executive of the BSA, introduced Reverent as the twelfth point of the Scout Law.

St. George is the patron saint of Scouting

The first scout to become president of the USA was John F. Kennedy.

President Woodrow Wilson signed the bill that was the BSA's federal charter.

The fleur-de-lis is also known as the trefoil.
