Adult Leader Training Information
What do you have to do to be a TRAINED adult leader? First every position starts with the Fast Start Training Series, next comes New Leader Essentials, followed by the Leader Specific Training. Fast Start training helps you to get started in your new job, New Leader Essentials training provides you with the background required for all jobs in the Pack and finally Leader Specific training is for your particular job in the Pack. There are also other training requirements, every leader must be trained in Youth Protection and if you are planning a Pack camp out or a Webelos overnighter then you will need Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) or Outdoor Webelos Leader (OWL) Training. Our council, the Colonial Virginia Council, maintains a schedule of training events on their website -see the link below under the Additional Training Links.
